DUAL SECTION IP 66 ENCLOSURES

ROLEC has introduced its range of dual section IP66 aluminium enclosures. Dual section enclosures allow the installation of PCBs, LCDs, power supplies and other active components in a separate compartment from the terminal connections. This means that sensitive components can be kept in a closed area during installation of the unit, or during regular servicing. The separate terminal compartment lid can be removed for wiring, re-calibration etc., while the main lid with the controls and displays remains in place.

The main lids can be closed or with an open frame. The open frame incorporates a removable anodised aluminium front panel, which is recessed for protection of switches, controls or membrane keypads. The lid fixings are outside of the sealed interior.

Manufactured from die-cast aluminium, there are four sizes available from 166x100x55mm to 240x240x120mm. The standard finish is powder coated light grey RAL 7035 and window grey RAL 7040. Stove-finished structured paint, and special colours can also be supplied to order.

Gortex condensation glands to ventilate the case, while maintaining the IP66 protection, are available on request. High temperature and EMC gaskets are also offered. Volume prices start at Ł36.

These enclosures can be fully customised with holes and cut-outs, silk-screen printing, painting in other colours, fitting of cable glands and much more, thus providing a fully finished housing ready for assembly of the components.
