RoHS Directive

Rinteln, 28th of April 2005

Guideline 2002 / 95 / EC “Reduction of hazardous substances” (RoHS)

Dear Sir or Madam,

According to the above mentioned EC guideline, as of 1 July 2006, new electric and electronic equipment introduced into the market and falling within certain product categories may no longer contain a certain selection of dangerous substances. These are:

  • lead
  • mercury
  • chromium of valence 6
  • polybrominated biphenyl (PBB)
  • polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE).
We no longer use these substances in standard products. As of 1 March 2005, our complete range of products is in agreement with RoHS. However, please note that this guideline only concerns ROLEC indirectly, as we are a manufacturer of components.

We will continue to supply customers who insist on certain procedures, because their products do not fall under Guideline 2002 / 95 /EC. If customers expressly require this, we will continue to use chromatised products and/or products containing lead, when this is indicated in writing in the order.

We manufacture and supply modified products according to customers’ requirements.

We thus expressly point out to the fact that the customer carries the responsibility for development when selecting materials for components not contained in our delivery program.

Best regards

ROLEC Gehäuse-Systeme GmbH
