Manufacturing industrial control equipment frequently involves providing robust protection for fragile displays. They must be safeguarded from impact, water ingress or chemical contamination – and yet they must remain easy to read. Electronic enclosures with clear transparent lids are the obvious solution and ROLEC provides a choice of options.

Glassfibre reinforced polyester (GRP) enclosures such as the polyDOOR range are recommended for applications where strong resistance to chemicals is required. ROLEC’s polyDOOR enclosures are rated to IP 66. They feature integral hinges so lids can be removed and replaced in seconds.

Choose from eight sizes ranging from 140 x 120 x 100 mm to 320 x 200 x 100 mm. Options include:

  • lids either with or without windows
  • a choice of lid fixing screws – slot-head, triangular head, square head or thumb screw
  • internal mounting plates, external mounting brackets, terminal mounting rail, cross rails.

Or if you prefer a metal enclosure with an optional clear lid, then look at ROLEC’s tried and trusted aluCASE range (IP 66, IP 67, IP 69K). Two models in the aluCASE range can be specified with transparent polycarbonate lids. On all aluCASE models, the fixing screws are concealed under plastic or anodised clip-on lid trims. They can be installed ‘lid closed’ to protect the seal and electronics inside.
